How the hell did u come up with that? if anything they are afraid of nintendo, which is why they are mimicking their actions by trying to be more casual friendly and have motion controls. Hell sony is so scared they copied them completely and just added an ugly @ss lightbulb on top.
I would Argue the Wii is the most hardcore system theses days. Case and point. PS3 is hyping Heavy Rain, which I feel is more a movie than a game, yet its Hardcore, but Wii sports which actually has gameplay is not?
Its like Fragile for the Wii. Very little gameplay, but people are hype for it stil for some reason, but not nearly as hyped as Heavy Rain.
Who the heck bothers with mass effect with a gaming PC that runs Crysis? But If you wanna play that monologue filled, blue layer shooting game, PC is the best bet for obvious reasons.
Big N is and always has catered to their true fans,the ones who knew what kind of games they made, not the ones who jumped on with the N64 and Gamecube. Last I checked Nintendo was always the Otaku heaven and kid friendly console, and most of us Wii owners are Otaku. Its wonderfully whimsical like the first time I played Pokemon. It just gave me this sense of adventure and exploring new lands. It didn't feel like the same old Hyrule (cause it wasn't) it was a whole new world.
HD consoles are trying to mimic motion controls, but Wii isn't releasing a new Wii HD mid console run, so what do you guys think? Even if you hate nintendo, if everyone tries to do what they are doing, its clearly the best innovation this gen.

I'm sick of all these peep claimin' to be hardcore cause they beat Halo3, Killzone 2, GOW2, Gears 1&2, whatever, Come back when you beat Mega Man 9, Viewtiful Joe 1 and 2 on (V-rated or Adult), or something with a challenge. Thats why I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a Viewtiful Joe 3. Thats a great challenging series that I still replay till this day. It fits in with the old school classics complete with rebattling all the bosses on the final stage. So yes Gaming is Devolving somewhat....
